On Tuesday I hosted on behalf of the UN Youth Delegates to the General Assembly a Working Breakfast on the “Youth Perspective on the post-2015 MDG Agenda” in the Permanent Mission of Switzerland to the UN. Four distinguished speakers and more than 40 participants discussed the establishment of a post-2015 development framework, the role of the youth in the current Millennium
Development Goals (MDGs) and the role of the youth in the process of forging and implementing a future development framework.
Another important focus of the discussion circled around the role of the World Programme of Action for Youth (WPAY) which was reaffirmed as the blueprint for youth policy.
The discussion was really lively and more than 45 guests showed interest and participated in the debate.
The four speakers were Pio Wennubst from the Swiss Mission, Falko Mohrs (European Youth Forum), Elizabeth Niland (UN Programme on Youth) and Bernadette Fischler (Beyond 2015).
PS In 50minutes I will attend the last round of negotiations for the Youth Resolution!
